Teacher Cards - Exploring Cricut

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It is my day to share a project over at the Exploring Cricut blog.  Here is what I have today:

I made a little box set of cards for my daughter's teacher.  I used the computer to print the sentiment and the Recess cartridge for the school house.  I used my Martha Stewart Cutting Board to create the embossed border.  I have made a set like this with a matching box for the kids ever since I saw the idea on Ruthie's site.  There is a  You Tube video for how to do the embossing and computer wording HERE.

Don't forget that every day, each one of the designers has a Cricut creation to share with you.  We hope to inspire you to explore your Cricut cartridges and have lots of fun doing it!!  Be sure to pop by the blog everyday and be prepared to be amazed!

Happy Monday everyone!  It is challenge day over at Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges.  Today, Janis challenged us to make an ANYTHING GOES project!!  Here is what I came up with:

Isn't she cute??  I put her together a little crooked - I'll have to be a little more careful next time ;)  I cut her on my Cameo, with a coloring page I converted with Silhouette Studio. The paper is all from Recollections except the patterned, which is from Graphics 45.  The stamp is from Stampin Up.

Please hop over to Pause Dream Enjoy Challenges, see what the rest of the talented design team came up with, and play along with us.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Love in a Jar - Cardz TV Stamps

Happy Friday everyone!  It is challenge day over at Cardz TV!  I love these days, because I play with Mary's amazing stamps - I can always find the perfect sentiment, not matter the challenge!  Today Mary challenged us to create any project we wanted with her latest stamp set "Love in a Jar".  Here is what I came up with:

I made this first project on my Cameo, for one of my daughter's friends.  They are all obsessed with Monster High.  I converted this in my Designer Edition and cut her out with Recollections paper.  I did a bit of doodling with my Sakura Jelly Roll pen, added the sentiment from Love in a Jar and voila - my daughter was SO excited when she saw it.

So, onto project number 2.  A simple little tag and gift card to give my homemade Strawberry Jam as a gift.  I cut out around the tag shape and the jar - any one who knows me will be shocked, because they all know how much I disling "fussy cutting" but this was really easy to do.  The "shadow" around the tag is cut by hand as well.  The strawberry is from Simply Charmed and the face is from PK's "Happy Lashes".  A little doodling and my perfect sentiments from Cardz TV Stamps and my simple little set is ready to give away.  You can buy your own "Love in a Jar" stamp set HERE.

Now, you are probably wondering "how can I play along?  I don't have this stamps set??"  All you need to do, is make a card, layout or craft using something you'd put in a jar.  Our challenge starts today and finishes June 27th at noon EST.  Hop on over to Cardz TV, see what all my talented DT sisters came up with to inspire you, and play along with us.  One lucky person will win a set of Cardz TV Stamps of their very own.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!

The Best Teacher

Happy Tuesday everyone!  It is my day to share a project over at the Exploring Cricut blog.  Here is what I have today:

Tis the season for end of the school year.  My kids are done the 28th of June this year.  I have only just started to think of thank you gifts for the teachers.  I made this little card as a thank you for my daughter's teacher.  The teddy is from Teddy Bear Parade, of course, cut at 3 1/2 inches.  The patterned paper is from a Recollections paper pack as is all the cardstock.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps "School Days" set.  It is one of my favorites, and you can find them HERE.  I used my Stampin Up tag punches to cut out the sentiment.

Don't forget that every day, each one of the designers has a Cricut creation to share with you.  We hope to inspire you to explore your Cricut cartridges and have lots of fun doing it!!  Be sure to pop by the blog everyday and be prepared to be amazed!
