Cheers

Happy Monday everyone!!  I am popping in to share a couple of cute tags.  A couple of weeks ago, I got some new stamps sets from Pretty Cute Stamps.  One of them was the cute "Happy Hour Faces".

A friend of mine has a birthday today, so I decided to make her a tag.  I ended up making 2 of them, coloring is something I am not really good at, there is always a learning curve for me.  I learned a few things with these tags.  Here they are:

For tag number one, I used the super cute wine glass.  My friend is a wine lover, so this seemed an appropriate choice.  I colored her with my Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.  She fit perfectly on CDD's Tag Essentials Die.  I just love how cute she is.

On to tag number two.  My friend LOVES to head south, where the drinks are fun and fruity, so I was torn between this and the wine stamp.  I love how cute he turned out!  I even blinged up the ice with a little stickle, to make it look frosty, but alas - the learning curve.  I stamped and colored the drink with my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, before I stamped on the face.  I learned, that my ink took a lot longer to dry once it was stamped over gamsol, and ended up smearing the eyes with my finger.  ALSO, I learned that while my red marker colored over Gamsol well, the white pen did not.  I ended up stamping another face and fussy cutting the eyes.  Fussy cutting is a task I despise, so, lesson learned, no more coloring before stamping the face.  LOL!  Even though his eyes are blurry, and it bothers the perfectionist in me a LOT, I decided to take a picture and share him anyway.  He is too cute not to share ;)  This time, I used the "Just Tag Die" from My Creative Time.

A challenge or two for my tags:
Pretty Cute Stamps - anything but a card
Amusing Challenges - anything goes
2 Creative Chicks - anything goes

Let a Smile be Your Umbrella

Happy Wednesday everyone!  It is my day to share a project over on the PPPR blog.  I am so excited to show you the project I created with Lisa's cute files!!

A week or so ago, Lisa created a cute little Umbrella file.  I decided that I needed to make something with it, it is TOO adorable!!!

Isn't she fabulous?!?  I decided to sparkle up the little dots on the tips of the umbrella.  I liked the little bit of bling it added to my card - to bad you can't see it very well in the picture...  You can find the cutie umbrella HERE.

I decided to make a little shape card for her.  I chose one of the shapes from Layered Labels 1.  I just duplicated the shape, and welded them together.  Easy peasy :)

The sentiment is from Craftin Desert Divas "Rain or Shine" set.  I just love the swirly font - so pretty!  You can find it HERE.

Be sure to pop by the PPPR blog every day for some cute inspiration from all my fellow Design Team Divas!

Puppy Chow

Happy Friday everyone!  It's challenge day over at PDE Linky Parties.  Miss Janis, challenged us to create any crafty project.  I love me some creative freedom...   Here is what I created.

This is another of the posts from my daughter's Puppy Party.  These are one of the little goodies we sent home in their treat bags.

I created the little tags with my Gypsy Girl - she still works, maybe not for much longer, but fingers crossed...  These little chocolate covered raisin looked a bit like puppy chow, I thought they were pretty cute!

I hope you all play along with us!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Spring Break Blog Hop

Welcome to Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons Spring Break Blog Hop!!  If you are here from Melissa's Blog  then you are in the right place.  If you just stumbled upon this post and would like to start from the beginning, please visit the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog.  This month we are showcasing spring projects - Easter, Spring, Spring Break - anything springy goes!!   All of the projects we are sharing use  PPPR files.  Here is what I created.

Earlier this week, Lisa created an adorable Happy Flower file for her stamp release.  There isn't much I like better than a cute faced flower - well, other than cute food....  I knew I had to make a project with it!  I decided she was perfect for this weekends hop.

I decided to make a cute little card set.  I will make a set of envelopes and use this little card set as a hostess gift.  I wanted to cut her in a variety of flowery colours, and decided she should be the big focal point of my card.

Here is a close up of one of the cards.  As you can see, I did a little bit of doodling on the flower, and pop dotted her up off the base.  I embossed the background with my Swiss Dots embossing folder and added a little ribbon, and a cute sentiment.  Voila!  Simple, yet so cute and fun!

You can find the flower I used HERE.

The next stop on today's hop is the talented and amazing Nanne.
